When: July 21st in the morning hours after the first helicopters with guests arrive
Where: All over the safe area - check the subheaders for specific location options or make your own subheader if something you'd like is not yet included!
What: Getting settled! Hammond holds a welcome speech and you can get a tour through the Visitor Center. Once that is done, why don't you choose a room or check out the exhibits and café? A new world of wonders awaits and you're just getting started!

It's a beautiful but slightly nebulous day on Isla Nublar. You have arrived this morning and didn't get much of a chance to check out the place yet. Still, one thing is clear... Dinosaurs are a new one. That herd of brachiosaurs you spotted walking in the distance is pretty impressive.

This is a mingle-log that you can use to tag around with as many people as you want. Unless otherwise stated, it is assumed all comments here are fair game to reply to with all characters - they are all in close proximity to each other after all. If you have any specific preferences for your threads, state them in your subject line (e.g. if your thread is closed to a specific character or is set at a very specific time or if you don't want thread-jacking once a thread has started).

The log also gives a chance for characters to talk to John Hammond for a while - he might not be overly helpful, but go ahead and meet your host!

Anything within the law is your free choice to wear. Which is why I am just voicing a suggestion.

[ His voice is entirely calm and serious as he continues to try and get a picture of the other's personality. ]

Yes. I like wearing these clothes. I made them. [Or at least embellished them and delayed their disintegration for a while longer.] Clothes you've lived in are always better than ones that have been preserved like you want to put them in a museum someday.

[ Hey, this coat may not look it but he's worn it day by day for years! But what Mikami does can probably not really be considered 'living' by Domri's standards... and he's a ridiculously tidy person at all times. ]

It's not harmful to keep your things in order.

[ But he's not going to insist with these spikes for now... It's a nuisance and kind of inconsiderate, but in comparison to the bigger things going on here, he doesn't have the will to argue extendedly. ]

It's a waste of time. And it's boring.

[But arguing is way more interesting than these exhibits! ...Yeah he's a little bored right now.]

[ Mikami thinks it's the exact opposite of a waste of time - keeping things tidy at all times prevents chaos from piling up. It may seem like more effort at first, but he's firmly convinced that ultimately it's less work to just keep everything neat and clean to begin with. ]

I don't think boredom really counts when it comes to efficiency.

[ Not to mention that he doesn't really feel boredom. ]

At the moment he's just wondering why they're having this discussion worthy of 6th graders. ]
